Melinda Finnegan

Our Founder and CEO, Melinda Finnegan has 18 years of Recruiting, Direct Hire and Staffing experience in multiple disciplines in Nurse Staffing, Administrative, Light Industrial Manufacturing, Human Resources and IT. Melinda has the unique understanding and skills that come from working in every position within the Staffing Industry from the Branch level to Corporate. Melinda’s vision for starting her own agency in 2010 began with the drive and commitment to provide a new level of service for both the clients as well as our healthcare staff by being an advocate for both. What is most important for her agency is to ensure that employees feel valued, supported and compensated for their skills, experience and passion they bring to the Staff-Smart organization. Our clients feel valued by ensuring the credentialing process is streamlined, efficient and solutions oriented with quality of patient care at the forefront. With her unique experience in every level of the staffing industry and her strong entrepreneurial mind set, opening her own agency was a natural progression to lead the way by doing things better!

With that in mind, the other part of the business puzzle is the vision Melinda has by creating a premier team with the same passion for quality and leadership by ensuring that we strive to provide a strong relationship of mutual respect for our Healthcare Staff and our Client Facilities. Karl Hofeditz

While working at the University of Missouri as a PCT, Karl Hofeditz received his Associates of Nursing in 2005 from Columbia College. He then pursued his nursing career on a Surgical/Trauma floor and later moved into the ICU and Step-down units. While working there he noticed the amount of time and effort and compassion it took being a nurse. When he joined Staff-Smart Medical Staffing in 2012 he brought that respect and compassion along with his passion to provide the best patient care possible to the agency world. Knowing that great patient care begins with a strong team, he recruits with that same dedication and diligence for nurses and for our Staff-Smart facilities, always keeping in mind that skills and experience are very important, but that passion is what makes our staff exceptional!

Kristin Pooker

Director of Allied Travel. I recently moved to colorful Colorado from Missouri. I’ve worked in healthcare industry in different administrative and executive positions for over 16 years with special emphasis in Rehabilitation Therapy Services/Sports Medicine Rehab and Women's Health Services. My experience and passion for the jobs that Allied professionals perform for their patients and my desire to provide the best possible facilities for our healthcare staff to work is what drives our Allied Travel Team!
